The opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Cultural Studies and Qatar History teacher, to start in August 2025. You will be responsible for teaching both subjects at Key Stages 3 monitoring and evaluating student achievement and contributing to accomplishing the College’s vision and mission.
Cultural studies are a recent addition to the Key Stage 3 curriculum, started in 2021 and will support the school’s mission to create globally minded students. In addition to teaching this new and exciting subject, the post holder will also teach Qatar History, a subject introduced by the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The post holder will be working within a highly motivated, committed and supportive team, focused on academic success.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards and displays; all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry, and all staff and students use Google Classroom.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding role model within the College with a passion for helping our students to succeed.
Candidates should have demonstrated success in their current role, be highly motivated and successful practitioners in a related subject e.g. Humanities and be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the College. A high level of subject knowledge and, above all else, a real passion for the subject is necessary. Cultural Studies and Qatar History are all mixed abilities which enables staff to make the subject accessible to all, and at the same time, be able to stretch the top end of the cohort.
A high standard of written and spoken English is an essential requirement for all our positions. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including co-curricular activities

As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to complete a pre-recorded Micro-teach that you will then submit to us. The recorded Micro-teach should be 10 minutes in length of your continuous teaching (live in class). Further details will be provided.
