Develop and calibrate hydraulic models for surface water networks using industry-standard software tools such as InfoWorks ICM (1D/2D models).
Utilize GIS, spreadsheets, and other modelling tools to support model development, calibration, and analysis.
Perform detailed hydraulic analysis of surface water systems, including capacity assessments and performance evaluations under various conditions.
Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of different events such as rainfall, development changes, and operational shifts on surface water systems.
Support development assessments, including flood risk evaluation, drainage capacity, and environmental considerations.
Perform operational scenario planning to optimize surface water infrastructure performance.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports for modelling projects, ensuring they are suitable for both technical review and client presentation.
Clearly communicate modelling results and recommendations, addressing both the needs of engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, urban planners, and environmental specialists, to integrate hydraulic models into broader project designs.
Engage with external stakeholders and clients, ensuring clear communication and the successful delivery of projects.
Key Qualifications:
5-10 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic modelling for surface water infrastructure projects.
Must have InfoWorks ICM: Extensive experience using InfoWorks ICM for 1D and 2D surface water models.
Working Experience with StormCAD, Civil3D and similary hydraulic modelling tools
Proven experience in hydraulic model build, verification, and calibration using industry-standard modelling tools.
Experience designing surface water networks for planned developments and infrastructure.
Knowledge of international codes and standards related to water infrastructure design and flood risk management.
Familiarity with projects in Qatar or the GCC region is highly preferred.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Strong report writing skills, with the ability to present complex modelling outcomes clearly and concisely.
