: QAT-DW-Doha Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports document checking and design verification tasks for compliance to company and project specifications. Technical supervision of project designated mechanical designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duty. Prepare of specifications, data sheets and other information covering Rotating equipment and system packages. Performance of bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval Technical writing activities, in particular, production of technical reports and operating manuals. Manage studies and mechanical-rotating-orientated projects as assigned. Preparation of technical requisition, stipulation of inspection and testing requirement and documentation Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Implements innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence. Supports Lead Engineer in monitoring quality activities and takes action where required. Assist Project Team in project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules Prepare and participate in weekly mechanical discipline meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures. Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with the Lead Engineer. Management, technical execution and completion of engineering assigned tasks in the specific mechanical-rotating discipline area Provide rotating equipment engineering input to conceptual studies, front end engineering and detailed engineering design for petrochemical, refineries and oil & gas facilities including the associated utilities Incorporates information from multiple sources into equipment/material specifications, data sheets, testing requirements, and material requisitions. Reviews similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports operability, and maintainability reviews, and ensures that requirements are Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to achieving the Worley Vision and its associated requirements. Perform any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time. Has substantial knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables. Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills in the mechanical-rotating discipline, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients. Specialized expertise of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical-rotating discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines. Specialized expertise of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements. In-depth knowledge of mechanical-rotating engineering with wide experience in multi-discipline areas Excellent report writing skills. Hands on experience with pumps, compressors and packaged equipment Specialized knowledge of API-610 (pumps), API-617 &618 (compressor), API-682 (Mech. seal) and statutory and regulatory requirements and a good understanding of onshore and offshore engineering practices applicable to mechanical engineering design for oil and gas/refinery/petrochemical facilities. Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its client’s requirements. Industry Specific Experience: Relevant years of experience of mechanical design in onshore/offshore oil & gas industry in a brownfield environment with focus on rotating equipments. FEED and detailed engineering experience is essential. Recent experience in an engineering consultancy in a multidiscipline environment is essential.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements. Good English communication skills (spoken & written) Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance. Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity. * Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge within teams.
