Position at Al Jazeera Media Network Job title: Responsible AI Lead Contract Type: Permanent Location: Doha, Qatar The Responsible AI Lead will play a pivotal role in the organization, leading the charge in ensuring that all AI systems developed and deployed are ethical, transparent, and accountable. This lead will be instrumental in developing responsible AI (RAI) framework, ensuring it can be tailored to meet the unique needs of various use-cases and clients.
Specific Responsibilities: Design and Implementation of Responsible AI Frameworks:
Develop and implement comprehensive Responsible AI (RAI) frameworks tailored to specific business needs and use cases.
Ensure these frameworks are adaptable and customizable to meet the unique requirements of various AI projects.
Coordination of Responsible AI Initiatives:
Serve as the central point of contact for all RAI activities, ensuring alignment and consistency across the organization.
Lead the deployment and integration of RAI controls within the organization’s operations.
Advocacy and Support:
Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand their needs and support the development of strong RAI cases for AI projects.
Offer expert guidance to ensure RAI practices are effectively implemented across technical and business functions.
Cross-Functional Support:
Provide support across the organization, including data governance, protection, privacy, and compliance activities.
Assist in driving data-related initiatives throughout the organization as needed.
Training and Culture Building:
Create and deliver training programs on RAI principles and best practices for internal and AI related project teams.
Cultivate a company-wide culture that prioritizes ethical AI development and deployment.
Policy Development and Compliance:
Stay informed about evolving RAI regulations and guidelines.
Contribute to the creation of the Integrated Control Framework, ensuring the inclusion of RAI controls.
Ensure that all AI systems adhere to relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
Engage with key stakeholders, including AI project teams, internal teams, regulatory bodies, industry groups, and academic institutions, to advocate for RAI.
Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and RAI experts to stay at the forefront of responsible AI practices.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of professional experience.
