Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for providing accurate and timely surveying support throughout all phases of the project, ensuring compliance with client specifications, and maintaining the highest standards of precision and quality.
TASKS:
Conduct detailed site surveys and prepare technical documentation and maps to support construction and development activities. Perform topographical, as-built, and construction surveys, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for all project phases. Utilize GPS, total station, and other surveying equipment to collect and analyze data, preparing site layouts, boundaries, and measurement points. Ensure that all surveying activities comply with Qatargas standards, relevant industry regulations, and project specifications. Conduct regular surveys to monitor the progress of construction activities, ensuring that all work aligns with design parameters and tolerances. Verify contractor’s work to ensure that the project remains within planned specifications and address any deviations promptly. Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports, providing insights into potential risks, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate and organized records of survey data, plans, and technical reports for reference throughout the project lifecycle. Adhere to all HSE standards and protocols, ensuring that all survey work is conducted safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Geomatics, or a related field. Relevant certifications in surveying techniques and technologies are preferred. 10+ years of experience as a Project Surveyor in the Oil & Gas sector, with a focus on large-scale offshore/onshore projects. Previous experience working with Qatargas standards or similar industry standards in the Gulf region is mandatory. Proven experience with EPC pipeline, facility construction, and infrastructure projects is preferred. Proficiency in using advanced surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, and leveling instruments). Strong understanding of surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, or similar tools. Fluent level of English, written and spoken.
