Process Manager - DOH01I0 Primary Location: QAT-DW-Doha Co-ordination of specified tasks within the process engineering discipline. Responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the process area, including the supervision of engineers and graduates. To ensure all work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contracts specification and ensure all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures. Primary objective:Responsibilities: Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively within time and budget constraints and that project objectives are satisfied. Subject matter specialist for the resolution of issues arising across all areas of process design. Overall supervision of instrumentation engineers, designers and technical personnel in the execution of all PMC projects. Mentoring of less experienced members of staff including ‘hands on’ approach to the formulation and delivery of training programs for personnel. Ensure integrity of work scope and that all work is carried-out in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Manage discipline resource requirements including manpower planning, recruiting and identification of expertise gaps and filling such. Completing annual competency and performance assessments of personnel. Prepare process engineering cost, time and resource requirement estimates on all assigned projects. Essential Skills/Experience: Proven ability to organize and manage teams of discipline engineers across a diverse portfolio of projects. Proven record in mentoring, training, and technology transfer to location nationals. Excellent skills with relevant software including MS Office suite. Dispute resolution. Ability to interact effectively with people and use clear, fluent, and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas. Broad based knowledge of the requirements for process engineering through all phases of project life cycle, from FEED through to Commissioning, within Oil & Gas or related industries. Desirable: PMC experience required. Experience with advanced engineering design tools and data systems What you will bringEducation – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training B Eng (Hons) Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent to qualify for corporate membership of IChemE or IEAust. Excellent computer skills with AutoCAD or Microstation, excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, ability to create accurate design drawings from base project information, reporting, estimating and supervision skills Experience with 3D modelling systems such as PDS. PDMS or AutoPlant. Experience with advanced engineering design and data systems such as SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Extensive experience in conceptual and detailed design of Oil and Gas/petrochemicals facilities and process equipment. Computer skills particularly in the use of process simulation package such as HYSYS and PRO/11 and in commercial software including databases, spreadsheets and word processing packages. Past or current experience in PMC related projects in Desalinisation or SALT recovery projects. Essential Skills/Experience Production and approval of PFDs, EFDs, MSDs, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Data Sheets, calculations and system modelling and simulation. Working to and using the company management systems. Ensuring compliance to company, client, local and international standards as given in the project PEP etc. Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
