Job Overview
The Presales Engineer is responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with a customer’s business issues and objectives, as well as channel partner training & enablement. Having wide-ranging field sales engineering experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing presales technical support of the sales process across the Products and Solutions.
- Cooperating with the sales teams in assessing potential application of the products to meet customer’s business needs.
- Conducting product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely, at customer locations or other suitable facilities on the products value proposition.
- Building complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process.
- Leveraging product knowledge to provide technical expertise to internal sales teams, partners and end users.
- Developing customer requirements that map solutions, assisting with overcoming technical and competitive objections, and accelerating technical evaluation component of sales cycle to close deals.
- Leveraging the consultative sales process to prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.
- Working on issues that impact design/ selling success or addressing future concepts, products, or technologies.
- Creating formal networks with key decision makers in assigned accounts.
- Serving as an external spokesperson and evangelist for the brand’s vision and associated technologies.
- Advising and delivering appropriate partner training & enablement sessions for Partners.
- Maintaining skills and certifications relevant to the brand and the professional development.
- Staying current with the brand’s new & competitive technologies.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science or related Engineering subject.
- Minimum 2 years proven experience as Pre-Sales Engineer.
- Good communication skills in English (verbal & written).
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills and in workshop driven sessions.
- Proven self-starter with the ability to multitask and to set priorities under pressure.
- Client-focused attitude and a team player.
