We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Relations and Media Specialist with a deep understanding of the Qatari market and the broader GCC landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in developing and executing effective PR strategies, managing media relations, and enhancing brand visibility, while also contributing to business development initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, a strong network of media contacts, and the ability to navigate the unique cultural and economic environment of the region.



Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic PR Development:
  • Design and implement comprehensive PR strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, media opportunities, and target audiences specific to Qatar and the GCC.
  • Media Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials to effectively communicate the company’s messages.
  • Manage media inquiries to secure coverage in key publications.
  • Content Creation:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling content for various platforms, including social media, blogs, and newsletters, ensuring alignment with brand messaging.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Qatari and GCC markets.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create targeted proposals and presentations that highlight the company’s strengths and value propositions.
  • Attend networking events, industry conferences, and business meetings to establish connections and promote the company’s services.
  • Event Management:
  • Plan and execute PR events, press conferences, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
  • Crisis Management:
  • Develop crisis communication plans and respond effectively to any PR challenges or issues that may arise.
  • Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Track and analyze PR campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to management.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of media coverage and public perception.

Qualifications

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations, media, or business development, preferably within the GCC region.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Qatari market, including cultural nuances and media landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR strategies and campaigns, with a focus on business growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience in crisis management and media training.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
