The selected candidate will contribute to the synthesis and characterization of diverse quantum materials, encompassing transition metal dichalcogenides, innovative superconductors, and two-dimensional ferromagnets. Emphasis will be placed on investigating phase transitions within these materials, as they can be manipulated by external parameters. Special attention will be given to quantum materials with relevance to energy applications, such as superconductors and magnetic materials. Specifically, the prospective candidate will play a key role in advancing research to identify new materials and explore innovative methods to enhance superconducting performance, pushing the boundaries of current technology. Responsibilities include conducting tests using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will engage collaboratively with researchers and stakeholders, including local and international collaborators and institutions, in alignment with the goals of the project.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics, Material Engineering, or closely related disciplines from a reputable university. Successful candidates should possess a proven record of scholarly achievements and a demonstrated excellence in research. Proficiency in handling pressure cells for Raman, Magnetic, X-ray diffraction, and transport studies is essential, along with expertise in software, electronics, instrumentation, and machinery development.
The candidate should be able to prepare single crystals and thin films of the highest quality for various substitution series, enabling precise exploration of the electronic phase diagram as a function of doping. Experience in operating laboratory equipment and low-temperature apparatus is crucial. Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory, while proficiency in written and spoken Arabic is considered an advantageous asset.

This involves employing a range of techniques, from diverse methods of polycrystal preparation to advanced approaches for single-crystal growth. Mastery of these skills is imperative for selecting systems in which to explore novel ground states.
