Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for all male and female athletic population using research-based practices and the Aspetar policies and protocols.
Design and implement policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with the department standards and guidelines.
Successfully completes training and educational courses as required. Contribute to the day to day operations of the strength and conditioning unit.
Plan and execute strength and conditioning training programmes, interventions, and evaluations for athlete to achieve progress for fitness or optimal recovery.
Contribute to the design and application of specialised fitness and exercise programmes for specific needs.
Maintain a high standard of ethical and professional behavior when treating and dealing with athletes / patients.
Assure athletes / patient safety, comfort and wellbeing, through proper and appropriate use of equipment and exercise / training techniques.
Maintains current strength and conditioning updates, develops professional skills and expertise, and provides athletes with relevant new services and modalities, propelling the unit to the forefront of strength and conditioning training.
Utilizes a limited variety of assessment and treatment techniques and skills proficiently.
Demonstrates active participation at staff professional development activities (case reviews, workshops, courses and in-services)
Recommend the procurement of appropriate fitness and gym equipment and technology and ensures their proper use and regular maintenance.
Conduct daily check on the housekeeping and maintenance of the rehabilitation area, including set up of equipment and accessories, and cleanliness and orderliness of the changing rooms.
Work skillfully under the guidance of a senior physical coach to optimise their clinical caseload management.
Assist in the promotion and marketing of the Maintains current strength and conditioning updates, develops professional skills and expertise, and provides athletes with relevant new services and modalities, propelling the unit to the forefront of strength training and conditioning coaching programmes.
Assumes any other responsibilities as directed by the Head of Rehabilitation within the scope of the strength and conditioning coaching.
Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job:
6-8 years of related experience of which a minimum of 2-3 year should be in similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
Skills and Abilities:

Meticulous and pays attention to detail.
Ability to establish good working relationships and to work within a team.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Sports physiotherapy background would be advantageous.
Education and Certification requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in physical education or equivalent.
Recognised Fitness Instructor’s Certification (FIC) (or equivalent) is desired.
Postgraduate certifications in related specialty areas (e.g.: ACSM) are advantageous
