Job Summary
To promote best practice through staff/Nurse development and education ensuring optimal patient outcomes in accordance with the guidelines set by the authorities.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Collect and assess data and information related to nursing education needs, trends, issues and supporting data to determine a comprehensive education program for nursing in specific units/clinics.
- Assess plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs of the Nursing Department leadership and staff.
- Evaluate, suggest, create, and incorporate both non-clinical and clinical nursing programs that improve medical practices for patients' safety.
- Plan, develop, and evaluate the preceptor program to enhance the orientation process and the retention of staff.
- Develop curricula that is reflective of evidence-based practice and uses the appropriate methods of teaching to accommodate learning styles and the learning environment.
- Provide input into the development and implementation of the department of nursing policies, systems, processes, and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to support an efficient and effective operation.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the department of nursing short to mid-term plans to ensure alignment with the division’s strategic priorities and contribute to the development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial objectives.
Job Responsibilities 2
- Monitor, control, and report key performance indicators related to the department, to track performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage the performance management, career progression and activities of direct reports by setting annual objectives, identifying training opportunities, mentoring, coaching, and providing constructive feedback to improve their performance.
- Contribute with ideas that support an efficient and effective structure and resource allocation for the department, to ensure smooth workflow of operational processes and optimal utilization of resources.
- Provide input into the preparation and consolidation of the department’s budget, monitor financial performance during the year and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommend mitigating actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE&E and QM policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service standards and a responsible environmental attitude.

• Any additional certification in healthcare Nursing Training will be considered an advantage.

Job Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in Nurse Training (required)
Minimum 3 years in GCC (preferred)
