Raytheon in Doha is looking for a Security Manager to join our team. In this role you will have frequent interaction with Qatar Defense Force (QDF) security personnel, all members of the Doha based staff and their families, and Temporary Duty (TDY) personnel. You will oversee industrial and international security requirements, physical security / force protection, personnel and operations security with a customer service focus, and build system and operations.


In this role you will ensure that the workplace is clean, safe and well maintained which will require the supervision of employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and / or general maintenance.


This is a high profile and fast-paced position requiring a security professional with security leadership experience across multiple domains and will report to the Raytheon and MENA Security Manager.


This onsite accompanied position will be based in Doha, Qatar for a two-year international assignment with additional compensation, and an option for extension for up to 40 months


What You Will Do


  • Plan, develop, implement, administer, and test security policies and security procedures for classified or proprietary and ITAR controlled materials, documents, and equipment for major programs.
  • Provide security leadership and direction to in-country leadership team, staff, and TDY personnel, managing security and personal safety procedures and briefing / training for all assigned personnel, their family members, and visitors.
  • Supervision of subcontracted guard force to include Qatar Military security forces.
  • Manage the security administration to include processing of base passes for employees required to work or visit the military base.
  • Conduct security investigations and surveys, including detailed recommendations for mitigation of all security vulnerabilities and violations.
  • Maintain, update and conduct periodic testing of evacuation / contingency plans ensuring employee and company preparedness with scalable tripwires.
  • Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions.
  • Coordinate with architecture / engineering firms in developing design criteria; inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Physical maintenance of the building, planning, coordinating, and allocating office space for all locations.
  • Develop and recommend long-range plans to meet future office space needs.
  • Leadership in the management of the maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
  • Safeguard and properly store US classified and ITAR information to Qatar security regulations, ITAR licenses, corporate directives and policies, and ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements for classified operations, and maintain access control to closed and restricted areas inside the designated compound.
  • Participate in the development of crisis and business continuity plans and act as a member of crisis management team.
  • Establish and maintain education programs to ensure personnel compliance with U.S. and Qatar government and contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain a strong liaison with Qatar Security Services, U.S. Embassy, United States Military, and active participation in the Doha Chapter of the Overseas Advisory Council (OSAC).
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all in-country personnel and provide ongoing security advice and guidance. Drive cultural security awareness and collaboration for individual responsibility and awareness.
  • Create and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers, peers and senior management across multiple domains to accomplish the mission.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.   


Qualifications You Must Have


  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years’ experience.
  • Experience in Facility Management and / or Industrial Security.
  • Experience with developing and administering security procedures for classified or proprietary and ITAR controlled materials, documents, and equipment for major programs.
  • Experience with electronic access control systems.
  • Experience interfacing with US security agencies.
  • Proficiency in understanding Auto Cad drawings, preventive maintenance, and work order systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. 
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Strong cultural sensitivity, interpersonal, leadership and written/verbal communication skills.


Qualifications We Prefer


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Business, Liberal Arts, or related discipline.
  • Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Previous experience living/working internationally.
  • Experience in managing international industrial security programs.
  • Experience in handling and safeguarding US classified information in an international environment.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining security programs and processes in accordance with the NISPOM – Highly desirable and will be a differentiating factor in our selection decision
  • Experience with Six Sigma-type quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in Executive Protection, Crisis Management, and emergency planning.
  • Familiarity with import / export requirements associated with international classified contracts.
  • Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service and cultural awareness approach.
  • Excellent integrity, interpersonal skills, ability to make sound decisions, and take independent action to exceed customer expectations.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
