NLQ HVAC Engineer (07/11/2024) 

We are looking for a NLQ HVAC Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:  

Location: Doha, Qatar

Work Status: Resident, Single

Mob date: Dec 2024

Demob date: SEPT 2026

Job mandatory requirements:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or HVAC system engineering.
• Experience: minimum10 years’ experience in HVAC engineering and design in offshore Oil and Gas industry
• Good theorical HVAC background (ability to read, understand and question Calculation notes provided by CTR for example)
• Knowledge of overall key HVAC system architectures & Principles
• Essential vs non-essential system
• HVAC Control philosophy and HVAC logic principle (duty/standby, interlock, local/remote control)
• Interface with Safety requirement (pressurization, fire dampers, fire portioning/zoning) and impact/requirement on HVAC design for a LQ
• LQ Experience is of course a must.

Activities

• Ensure Engineering Dossiers are delivered with a robust HVAC engineering definition and fit for purpose design that can be procured, fabricated, transported, installed, and operated safely, meeting the requirements of International Standards, COMPANY standards, Project Basis of Design, and SOR.
• Ensure assigned project tasks are well managed in accordance with COMPANY safety regulations, the quality compliance, the project execution plan and contractual requirements that include:
• Thorough, efficient, and timely review of project HVAC discipline documents, realization of potential derogations to the standards, and challenge the design to achieve an optimize and fit for purpose outcome.
• Assisting to project studies and meetings related to the HVAC discipline as per project approved gate levels and design maturity.
• Identifying potential risks and scope changes, conducting initial impact assessment to provide detailed information to NLQ Engineering Coordinator.
• Ensure efficient communication with all other COMPANY engineering and functional team members
