Your Role The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities for Project Logistics. They have a deep understanding of the Project Logistics market, service offerings, and operational requirements. They spend most of their time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business and working hand in hand with the Pricing and Customer Excellence Teams. They personally own an account portfolio and seek to grow the Gross Profit for Project Logistics activities and accounts year after year. Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an account and project pipeline within a defined geographic market and/or customer base. Utilize
  • CRM (CoreLog) to maintain and update customer information, report customer complaints to the Customer Excellence Team, and complete related CRM tasks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure national customers are provided with applicable and effective solutions.
  • Prioritize business opportunities and assign teams to jointly develop these into firm awards.
  • Coordinate tenders and bids for major potential customers, securing necessary approvals from relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular communication and meetings within the Key Account Management Team and across other Development Functions.
  • Establish standards for CRM tool usage, Compliance, and HSE-related matters.
  • Foster a collaborative environment among all Project Logistics Development Functions, including Operations,
  • Technology, Geographic, and Technical Leadership.
  • Identify key countries/markets for assigned customers and support the formation of global development/account management teams.
  • Align strategic direction and team goals closely with the National Project Logistics Manager and/or Business Development Manager.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience in business development or project logistics within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., CoreLog) and managing customer data effectively.
  • Strong understanding of project logistics operations, tender processes, and market dynamics.
  • Familiarity with HSE standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a results-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel as required and proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
