Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC
Multi Skilled Technician
Main Role
To optimize the reliability and availability of equipment under area of responsibility through completing maintenance Activities in accordance with NOC approved operation procedures, guidelines, legislative requirements and industry best practice.
Strategic Planning & Direction
- Identify opportunities and champion initiatives that enable maximum production and injection output within the
parameters of environmental compliance and process safety.
Provide Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results. Be held accountable for area of responsibility.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties, functional teams and corporate groups as required to meet NOC strategic business and operational objectives.
Contribute to improvements, development and implementation of department activities, processes and procedures.
Operational
- Complete safe and efficient replacement and repair activities in the event of failure or malfunction ensuring quick restoration; troubleshoot malfunctions and take corrective actions as necessary.
Optimize production and uptime when executing maintenance activities which require shut down / isolation or equipment.
Conduct diagnostic tests and report repetitive equipment failures.
Prepare adequate documentation and reporting for offshore management consideration regarding wrong design, poor workmanship, non-compliance to NOC standards; take appropriate action within level of Authority.
Contribute to Identifying Improvements to planned maintenance routines.
People Management
- Encourage and foster process safety awareness related to own discipline.
Provide guidance on discipline specific company standards, procedures and guidelines.
Guide and support to junior staff in the execution of their day-to-day responsibilities and help create a learning environment.
Uphold and role-model NOC values and leadership behaviors. - Provide support as necessary to Qatari employees to assist them in achieving recognized qualifications.
Stakeholder Relations
- Actively participate in daily communications and coordination between "Onshore" businesses pertaining to key
business matters and sharing of knowledge and experience.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties required to meet NOC business and operational objectives. - Participate and support Contractor/Vendor performance management through Contract Owner.
Represent NOC appropriately and in accordance with core values when interfacing with stakeholders.
Other
- Proactively take responsibility for self-progression by keeping abreast with latest developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
Any other ad-hoc tasks as directed by manager.
Profile
Knowledge/ Technical Skills
- English Language to a level that satisfies the standards of the Safety English Test (SET) — to be completed before initial mobilization.
Technical and practical knowledge of PPE - Thorough Understanding of personnel Safety.
Some Understanding of process safety
Strong ability to read and understand relevant drawings such as, but not limited to, P&ID, isometric drawings and steel structure, etc.

- High school diploma/ technical certificate in Discipline
- TBOSIET
- H2S
- Fitness for Work (offshore) Certificate
