About the Role


Translate the organization’s strategic objectives into training department’s objectives, establish policies to focus training activities and guide decision-making. Create strategic and operational training plans. Develop a strategic training budget to support organizational objectives. Manage the Training Need Analysis (TNA). Work closely with Business and HR leadership to understand the current and future requirements to develop and implement appropriate solutions across QAS. A central point of contact for all department managers for consultancy support and advice relating to training needs.


Responsibilities


  • ·        Guide QAS management on Training aspects on investments of Training Requirements and Training Materials.
  • ·        Represent QAS on different strategy forums of QR Group related to Training and ensure QAS issues are considered whilst forming new policies.
  • ·         Develop and maintain the Training Manual in line with SOPs, regulatory and international requirements.
  • ·        Perform TNA (training need analysis) and assess for both business and participants to develop strategic plans and formulate the Training Matrix.
  • ·        Ensure 100% compliance of any regulatory, operational and developmental learning programs are covered for the organization to meet safety, security and quality objectives as well as to equip individuals to perform their tasks and/or improve the performance.
  • ·        Implement measures other than audits and surveys to ensure the effectiveness and quality of learning programs, training packages and instructors to meet the company and international standards. Take immediate corrective actions accordingly as and when required.
  • ·        Follow up continuously with cost and expenses against the budget
  • ·        Create a high-performance training function for aligning training with the organization’s requirements in order to reduce the risk of course failure.
  • ·        Manage all administrative functions of the department to ensure training support services are provided to all instructors/facilitators to perform effectively. 
  • ·        Maintain facilities, equipment, property etc. to enable the provision of satisfactory training.
  • ·        Provide adequate budgetary provisions and financial support to meet identified training requirements and growth.
  • ·         Support the QAS management team in the creation of ad hoc learning projects and events as required by the business strategy and growth.
  • ·        Manage and administer training projects through externally accredited / internal training programs to ensure employees are competent in their job.
  • ·        Develop and lead Training statics and management reports. Conduct trend analysis and propose new procedures and working methods to improve the training feedback and courses.
  • ·        Develop, manage and plan all soft skills, operational and technical trainings for all QAS operational as well as support services staff to increase their efficiency.
  • ·        Manage and execute soft skill training projects through internal/external training programs to ensure employees are competent in their job.
  • ·        Research new training materials and supplies that might enhance the training procedures and provide value to QAS staff. 
  • ·        Provide constructive feedback to training participants and consult with Department Managers and Team Leaders to ensure that coaching and development provided is reinforced through ongoing performance management
  • ·        Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications

About you


Essential 


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent 
  • Minimum 8 years of job-related experience
  • Understanding of training processes, planning and budget management.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to defined tight timescales and budget.
  • Proven experience of demonstrating flexibility to meet the changing demands of the business. 

Preferred


  • Postgraduate/ additional professional qualifications.
