About the role



In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the analysis of portfolio-wide commercial strategy and tactics using analytics and providing actionable insights to the Cargo Leadership to maximize revenue and generate profit for the Division.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
Set directions with strategic approach and lead a profitable implementation across the network in collaboration with the VP, Senior Managers and Profitability department. Develop in-depth analysis of the competitive landscape for Qatar Airways (QR) positioning, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities. Collaborate with Network Planning (NP) and Revenue Management (RM) along with network capacity analysis including expansion for new profitable destinations and increasing frequency on it. Take global responsibility to represent Profitability department in commercial meetings, play a central role between Cargo Profitability and other departments (RM, Regional, NP, Global Sales, etc.) by providing actionable insights to inform network wide strategies aimed at revenue maximization. Develop and promote best practices approaches for research, analytics and KPls through selection of right methodologies, people and tools alongside definition of effective processes. Monitor and analyze QR Cargo route performance from a P&L perspective and share the insights with relevant stakeholder to make informed decisions and provide regular revenue updates to all key stakeholders of the market and business. Identify areas of revenue leakage, develop, implement solutions to eliminate such leakage and ensure measurement of performance of all relevant business decisions across commercial function within head office and regions. Ensure the confidentiality, security and protection of all information handled in the course of duties is maintained at all times from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, deletion/destruction, corruption, modification, inspection or recording.

Qualifications



About you
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of job-related experience in managing business insights Strong data analytical skills with the ability to make recommendation and sound decisions Excellent problem solver with advanced knowledge of project management as well as stakeholder management Strong knowledge of data analytical tools Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, persuasion and influencing capabilities Ability to work with cross- functional and multi-cultural teams at all levels in a faced- paced working environment Experience and ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow with strong mentoring and coaching skills
