About the job Junior Accountant (3 Months Contract)

Core Responsibilities


1. Financial Record Maintenance


  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.

2. Financial Reporting


  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in drafting balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents.
  • Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting


  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and highlight variances.

4. Compliance and Taxation


  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and accounting standards.

5. Audit Support


  • Prepare financial documents for internal and external audits.
  • Address queries raised by auditors and provide necessary clarifications.

6. Internal Controls


  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal financial controls.
  • Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and recommend solutions.

7. Payroll Processing


  • Process employee salaries, benefits, and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws.

8. Inventory and Asset Management


  • Track and manage company assets and inventories.
  • Record depreciation and other asset-related adjustments.

9. Cash Flow Management


  • Monitor cash flow and prepare reports to ensure sufficient liquidity.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors and collections from customers.

10. Support Financial Decision-Making


  • Provide financial insights and data analysis to assist management.
  • Contribute to financial planning and risk management strategies.

11. Use of Accounting Tools


  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or Odoo) for bookkeeping.
  • Generate financial reports and automate processes where possible.

12. Ad Hoc Tasks


  • Assist with special financial projects as required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by senior accountants or finance managers.

Requirements:


  • Min 3 -5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors in Accounting/Finance, Masters is an added advantage.
  • Locally available in Qatar with valid QID
  • Available to join immediately
  • Willing to work for 3 months contract
