Supervise the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecom systems, including but not limited to, voice, data, and video communication systems.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely deployment and integration of telecom solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telecom infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions to operations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of telecom equipment and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and end-users on telecom-related matters.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement telecom solutions that meet the organization's requirements and objectives.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the telecommunications industry, recommending innovations and enhancements to improve efficiency and performance.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of telecom systems, configurations, and maintenance activities.
Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance skills and expertise in telecom technologies.
Qualification:
Diploma or degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in telecom systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in telecom protocols and technologies, including but not limited to, VoIP, SIP, MPLS, and wireless communication
Certification in relevant telecom systems and technologies is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom systems maintenance and support, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead technician role.
Hands-on experience with telecom equipment and tools, such as routers, switches, PBX systems, and cabling infrastructure.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in telecom system design and implementation.
Experience working in industrial or plant environments is an advantage.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
