Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Irrigation Foreman to oversee and manage all irrigation activities on our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution and plant health.
Job Responsibility:
- Supervise and coordinate irrigation projects from start to finish, including system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Manage a team of irrigation technicians and laborers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Inspect irrigation systems regularly to identify issues and repair or replace faulty components.
- Develop irrigation schedules based on plant requirements, weather conditions, and water availability.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards related to water usage and irrigation practices.
- Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities, including equipment inventory, maintenance logs, and water usage reports.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Irrigation Foreman or similar role in the landscaping or agriculture industry.
- In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems, including drip irrigation, sprinklers, and valves.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to plan irrigation layouts effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team effectively and coordinate with clients and other stakeholders.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment if needed.
- Certification in irrigation systems or a related field is a plus.
