HOOK UP ENGINEER

We are seeking a skilled Hook-Up Engineer to manage and coordinate hook-up activities for offshore installations. The ideal candidate will have extensive offshore experience and expertise in the hook-up of oil & gas facilities, ensuring seamless integration from construction to commissioning phases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise hook-up activities for offshore structures, pipelines, and facilities.
• Develop detailed hook-up procedures and work packs, ensuring alignment with project schedules and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the project management, installation, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth transitions from pre-commissioning to commissioning.
• Oversee offshore hook-up operations, including managing teams of offshore personnel and contractors.
• Ensure all hook-up activities are executed according to technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate the mobilization of hook-up equipment, materials, and personnel to offshore sites.
• Conduct risk assessments and participate in safety reviews, including HAZID and HAZOP studies, to ensure safe operations.
• Liaise with the client, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of hook-up milestones.
• Prepare hook-up reports, tracking progress and identifying any deviations from the plan.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations during all phases of hook-up.
• Provide technical support and guidance to offshore teams and ensure proper training of personnel.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Offshore, or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in offshore hook-up engineering, with proven experience in oil & gas facility installations.
• Strong knowledge of offshore hook-up procedures, including structural, piping, electrical, and instrumentation installations.
• Experience in developing hook-up work packs and coordinating offshore logistics.
• Familiarity with relevant offshore codes and standards such as API, DNV, and ISO.
• Proven experience working in offshore environments with an understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in managing technical and operational challenges.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interface with clients, contractors, and offshore teams.
• Ability to work in remote offshore locations and manage challenging schedules and conditions.
