We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a

HLO / Radio Operator

Job Purpose:

To optimize production downtime when executing maintenance activities contributing to the development and review of risk assessments.

Your main duties will be to: -

Maintain all radio communications with the helicopter flight crew, helideck crew and marine vessels on
aeronautical and marine radio channels.
Generate, maintain and distribute personnel on board (POB) lists.
Generate, maintain and distribute emergency response duty roster.
Ensure all personnel have been briefed and shown safety videos for helicopter and vessel transfers.
Provide visible leadership to personnel to ensure safety targets are met.
Promote NOC core values by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect and commitment,
fostering collaboration across the organization.
Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture.
Drive an incident free environment by establishing and maintaining a strong incident free culture.
Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures,
that ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
Ensure compliance with Operating Procedures and Guidelines to ensure Process Safety, Operational
Safety and Plant Integrity.
Maintain the radio room and heli-admin as an alternative emergency response room.

Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.

You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Profile

Education: High School Diploma / Technical certificate in Discipline.
Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years recent experience in UHF & VHF radio operations in an offshore
environment.
Must hold valid aeronautical and marine radio operator certificates.
