Provide support and assistance to Al Khalij Asset entities in project control management and oversight of developments related to the upgrade of TEEPQ offshore facilities, including wellhead platforms and the Halul plant.
Manage and oversee project control activities, such as budgeting, invoicing, planning, risk management, and document control, for the ongoing 20-inch pipeline replacement project.
Offer support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from start/mobilization to completion/demobilization.
Conduct annual follow-ups on project-related RFMs, including:
Planning tasks (e.g., 1,000+ lines in 5WLA, 4MLA, and 24M schedules)
Invoices (1,200)
Contracts and call-offs (100)
Procurement activities (200 POs/2,300 line items)
Document management via PRODOM (8,000 documents)
Reporting (75 reports annually)
Act as the finance focal point for cost control, budgeting, and PDC exercises.
Drive performance and planning improvements within the asset, identifying optimization opportunities and collaborating with the asset management team to implement enhancements.
Project Activities
Prepare Master Budget files and monthly/quarterly cost reports for project activities, detailing original budgets, approved variation orders, committed amounts, expenditures, and estimates at completion.
Act as the focal point for the asset with Finance, ensuring budget alignment and cohesion across all asset entities.
Provide cost and schedule estimates for project activities, including Development (DEV).
Oversee planning procedures for the asset, including the 24-month (24MLA) and 4-month (4MLA) plans.
Ensure proper planning preparation and review of 5WLA, 4MLA, and 24MLA plans within the asset.
Supervise all contractual matters for projects, attend DUET meetings, and manage related activities in SAP.
Prepare and oversee the asset's weekly, monthly, and yearly internal and external reports as required.
Develop asset-level reporting to provide the management team with performance insights and drive improvement initiatives.
Ensure effective documentation control, management, and archiving practices.
Promote innovation and identify cost-saving opportunities within the asset.
Support project managers/engineers and the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) department in preparing Call for Tender (CFT) documents.
Monitor procurement activities, liaise with C&P, and regularly update delivery timelines.
Assess and formalize the impact of changes, deviations, or claims, coordinating with relevant parties.
Record agreed changes in registers, update SAP, amend contracts/subcontracts, adjust planning, and incorporate information into monthly reports and forecasts.
Review potential cost overruns or schedule changes, advise management, and propose corrective actions.
Compile and maintain a comprehensive cost database.
Ensure quality assurance (QA) for updating and issuing Projects/JV (Asset) procedures (CMS) and conduct internal and cross-functional audits.
Collaborate with Cost Control/Finance departments to meet all reporting requirements within specified timelines (e.g., accruals, closures, reconciliations).
Review, verify, and process contractors’ invoices in WEBCYCLE.
Provide support for RFS creation and follow-up.
Create PRs, SOs, and call-offs for service contracts in UNISOL and assist with other asset activities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education: Engineer, Business or Science diploma, or equivalent
Professional experience: experience as in Projects, Project Control Manager and team management
Technical competencies: Good knowledge of the industrial context.
Behavioural competencies: Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Other competencies: Good English (minimum of level 3.5/B2 on the Bright test).
