Job Description
The
Head of People & Culture at Oryx Universal College (OUC) is a visionary leader dedicated to advancing human and learning development within the institution. This role focuses on fostering a culture of continuous professional growth, talent development, and staff engagement to align with OUC’s mission and values.
The Head of People & Culture oversees strategies for workforce planning, leadership development, performance management, and training programs that empower staff to excel in their roles. By promoting an inclusive and supportive environment, they ensure that staff are equipped to contribute effectively to the institution's academic and operational goals. Additionally, the role entails collaborating with leadership to design initiatives that enhance learning opportunities, cultivate innovation, and maintain compliance with Qatari labour laws while nurturing a vibrant and motivated workforce.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred), with at least 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in People & Culture or Human Resources.
Proven expertise in learning and development strategies, talent management, and compliance with labour laws in Qatar or the GCC region is essential.
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace culture. A professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
