The Gym Trainer is responsible to design and implement personalized fitness programs tailored to individual client needs and goals. They aim to motivate and support clients in achieving their fitness objectives while ensuring safety and proper technique during exercise sessions. Additionally, gym trainers educate clients on nutrition, exercise principles, and lifestyle habits to promote overall health and well-being. They also assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of gym equipment and facilities, creating a welcoming and conducive environment for clients to pursue their fitness journeys. Ultimately, gym trainers play a vital role in fostering a positive and empowering fitness experience for clients within the lifestyle department.
Liaise with Head trainer to determine training needs
Attend all development training sessions and team meetings
Deliver a high standard of classes and coaching set by head trainer
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Supervise and ensure all fitness services, protocols and procedures are followed
Ensure the cleanliness of the fitness area including all equipment
Ensure the smooth operation of all equipment through periodic service checks and reporting work orders promptly
Plan and conduct fitness exercise sessions, personal training sessions, group training experiences, and in-service education sessions
Maintain thorough knowledge of all strength and cardio equipment and their programs as well as the proper use, alignment and safety
Maintain professional certifications while continually pursuing a greater degree of knowledge and expertise
In-depth understanding of exercise physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics to design safe and effective workout programs tailored to individual client needs.
Proficiency in a variety of fitness training techniques and equipment, including cardio exercises, strength training, and flexibility exercises.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients, understand their fitness goals, and provide motivation and support throughout their fitness journey.
Knowledge of nutrition principles and dietary guidelines to offer basic nutrition advice and support clients in making healthy lifestyle choices.
Ability to adapt and modify exercise programs based on client feedback, progress, and any physical limitations or injuries, ensuring continuous improvement and client satisfaction.
Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
