The Group Business Development Director determines the long-term strategic objectives of the Cluster in conjunction with the short- and long-term objectives of the organization. The role ensures business growth through directing and managing business development activities to strategize approaches, technical pre-qualifications and quotations for the competitive tender projects.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth across multiple locations or business units within a cluster.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the cluster to expand market presence and revenue streams.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across the cluster to drive collaboration and revenue growth.
Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals across different locations or business units, providing guidance and support.
Coordinate with local teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients within the cluster.
Negotiate contracts, agreements, and partnerships at a cluster level to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities across the cluster, adapting strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
Analyze sales performance and KPIs across the cluster, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Prepare and present cluster-level reports, forecasts, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Represent the cluster at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads on a regional scale.
Ability to identify and evaluate market opportunities, develop long-term business strategies, and align them with organizational goals.
Proficient in conducting thorough market research and analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
Skilled in negotiating and forging strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to expand market reach and capabilities.
Expertise in assessing and managing risks associated with business development initiatives, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Strong ability to communicate business development strategies and progress to stakeholders, including executive teams, board members, and external partners.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 20 years working experience, 15 years in a relevant management/leadership position, 5 years GCC experience is a plus
