From the elegant lobby to energetic restaurants and lounges, our beachfront urban retreat has been transformed into a vibrant hotspot, while remaining true to our Qatari roots. This stunning urban beachfront retreat opened in April 2005 in the heart of the business district, and has 237 rooms and 20 unbranded townhouses villas, a large Food and Beverage operation with 10 stunning venues including the world’s largest Nobu restaurant, significant banquets/outside catering, five pools and a private beach, fitness center, and a spa and wellness center offering guests expansive hydrotherapy facilities including an ice room, colour therapy room, steam room and hydrotherapy pool. Responsibilities:- Develop an evolving interesting array of fitness/wellness opportunities to motivate our guests. Delivers high-quality private and group fitness instruction that consistently meets and exceeds the members' and guests expectations. Handle all member and guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Possess a high level of attention to detail to maintain a meticulously clean and tidy fitness facility as instructed by the fitness manager. Ability to develop and execute effective training plans that consistently meet and exceeds member and guest health and fitness goals. Provide personal trainer shift coverage as scheduled by the Director of Spa to exceed and guests’ demand and to maximize revenue. Develop and execute training plans that consistently meet and exceed the members’ and guests’ health and wellness goals. Complete all fitness instruction billing in accordance with Four Seasons accounting procedures and fitness department processes . Actively promote personal training and fitness activities through frequent member and guest interactions. Describe the training lessons available and upsell personal training in addition to the entire spa menu to internal (hotel) and external guests/clients. Experience leading group fitness classes (e.g., yoga, Pilates, strength training, HIIT) with diverse groups of participants. Ability to customize fitness programs to accommodate individuals’ fitness levels, physical limitations, and health conditions. Enthusiasm for promoting a healthy lifestyle, staying up to date with fitness trends, and setting a positive example for clients. Works well with other wellness professionals, such as nutritionists and physiotherapists, to offer holistic wellness solutions to clients. Work with Public Relations, Spa Receptionists, Concierge, and Front of the House team to ensure resort-wide support and collaboration. Promote and upsell revenue-generating private training and wellness classes to meet guest needs. Ensure adherence to all corporate core standards. Provide leadership, mentoring, training, and periodic standards testing for newly certified or more junior instructors in Fitness. Work closely with the Spa Director to ensure proper standards of hygiene and functioning of equipment is consistent and in accordance with safety standards. Monitor the cleanliness of the gym and movement studio facilities and assist with maintaining a high level of organization, tidiness and stocked supplies. Preferred Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor’s Degree in physical education or health related field or equivalent experience. Certifications related to group fitness instructor and personal trainer. At least 2 years’ experience in developing, leading and conducting group and personal fitness and wellness experiences. Proficiency required in developing, teaching and conducting group and personal fitness and wellness experiences in a luxury environment. Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions. Display a high work ethic; with a sense of responsibility for the role within our team. Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
