About the role 


Project WAHED is a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to be part of the most exciting Business Transformation journey that Qatar Airways has ever embarked in. 


With both technical as well as business process improvement acumen, our future Finance Transformation Manager will have as a primary objective to lead a specific Finance related process (eg: P2P, R2R, S2C, DOC, FP&A, GRC,Tax, Business Finance, MIS, etc.) through adoption of innovative technology solutions by designing and implementing new ways of working. 


You will act as SME and key member of the leadership team in redefining and transforming complex change initiatives in the finance function to achieve operational excellence, efficiency and strategic alignment with organizational goals and objectives.


Accountabilities:


  • Play a pivotal role in shaping and executing QR finance transformation strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, implement cutting-edge technologies, and drive improvements in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Champion transition towards touchless Finance by optimizing processes and implementing automation solutions, enable and empower the Finance function in charge of to complete all deliverables with a high-level of accuracy, insight, and efficiency.
  • Manage ERP transition and process transformation as SME in the designated finance stream ensuring alignment with overall project strategic objectives, design principles and organizational priorities.
  • Document current processes/process flow charts and identify opportunities for automation, standardization and process streamlining across the back-office organization.
  • Own the business process design for the assigned Finance stream with strict adherence to the key design principles, contribute to the ERP in project planning, risks identification and mitigation.
  • Serve as process expert in the assigned Finance process, understand current state, define the future state and contribute to define the implementation approach to achieve the project goals.
  • Support the team in designing future state of processes and procedures ensure, monitor and report compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, policies and maintaining integrity in operations.
  • Support the change management efforts of the ERP Transformation project team by ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, new ways of working within Finance streams and across the organization.
  • Achieve performance metrics, KPIs and objectives to ensure effectiveness and success of initiatives including ERP value case.
Qualifications

About you 


You will possess:


Qualifications and Experience: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience.
  • University degree/preferably in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, or Mathematics having finance professional qualifications (CA, CPA/CMA)
  • 6+ years of experience in business transformation and ERP implementation (Oracle/SAP)
  • 3+ years experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in managing operational finance (eg: P2P, R2R, S2C, DOC, FP&A, GRC,Tax, Business Finance, MIS, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional process improvement projects

Preferred:


  • Minimum of 5+ years of SAP S4 Hana/Oracle Fusion Project Execution/management experience
  • 3+ years directly managing ERP implementation and roll outs
  • Demonstrated experience with project management/Agile delivery/ITIL in a regulated environment
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma

Job Specific Skills:


  • Command of English language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in process mapping and process flow analysis tools
  • Excellent project management skills, with certification in Project Management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in the back off processes of aviation industry such as “Flight to Settle”, “Ticket to Cash” & “Record to Report”
  • Functional finance experience (Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis, P2P, R2R, S2C, DOC, FP&A, GRC, Tax, Business Finance, MIS, etc) in any industry

Preferred:


  • Expertise in ERP system implementations and software delivery best practices (eg: Oracle and SAP)
  • Functional finance experience (Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis, P2P, R2R, S2C, DOC, FP&A, GRC, Tax, Business Finance, MIS, etc) in a major airline 
  • Experience with implementing processes of aviation industry such as “Flight to Settle”, “Ticket to Cash” & “Record to Report”
  • Excellent project management skills, with certification in Project Management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in process mapping and process flow analysis tools, Lean Six Sigma certified
