Scope:
1. Site Investigation & Preliminary Studies
2. Preparation of tender documents, contract procedures, technical specification, evaluation of bids.
3. Will be responsible to establish and maintain documented procedures to control and verify the design submitted by the contractor or the design produced by the consultants themselves.
4. Responsible for design including description, calculation, layouts, protection & control but not limited to the following works.
i. GIS (400 kV, 220 kV,132 kV, 66 kV,33 kV).
ii. Switchyards, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, CT, VTs, capacitor banks etc.
iii. Switchgear (33 kV & 11 kV - Vacuum & SF6).
iv. Transformer station
v. Load calculations
vi. System study
vii. Other auxiliary associated equipment in the substations (LVAC Distribution Boards, etc.).
5. design and development or design review activities.
6. Formal documented review of the contractor’s proposal/design should be conducted.
7. All design changes and modifications are identified and documented and all these changes subject to KAHRAMAA’s approval.
8. Will be responsible for tender document preparation, setting the specifications that meet the requirements of the client, preparation of B.O.Q and evaluation of Bids. All the above works will be under supervision of the client.
9. Periodically site visits in order to check the design implemented according to approved documentation.
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a reputable university.
Experience:
Should have worked for a minimum of 20 years in the capacity of senior engineer level in the relevant field and should have worked for major projects of substation & transmission systems (132kV/220kV/400kV systems) involving design, inspection, erection and commissioning & testing of GIS, circuit breakers, overhead transmission lines, transformers and all auxiliary systems of substation etc.
In the above projects, he should have carried out / prepared preliminary studies, tender documents, contract procedures, technical specifications, bid evaluation.
Must be fully conversant / referred all relevant international standards and shall have working experience in IEC & ISO 9000 systems.
