Position: Engineer II - Geotechnical
Location: Doha, Qatar
Only local candidates preferred
Hands on Experience in geotechnical investigations and geophysical surveys at site
Experience in design of underground construction including support of excavation
Ability to utilize standard Rock Engineering principles, techniques and analyses to complete conventional, moderately complex assignments within the geotechnical discipline.
Bachelors degree in civil / Geological / Geotechnical Engineering and 5+ years of related work experience.
Intimate knowledge of the following software: gINT , RSData , Dips Unwedge , SWedge , RocFall2 and RocFall3.
Intimate knowledge of following design codes Eurocode , British Standards , LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
Business-level English language skills sufficient to produce well-written reports with organized structure and minimal need for grammatical corrections, and to hold articulate verbal communications
Good verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with the client, management, and project personnel on technical and non-technical subjects.
Interfaces with Clients on matters relating to work assignments
Ability to effectively communicate verbally on technical and non-technical subjects
Possession of internationally recognized engineering license such as PE, SE, and CEng is highly preferred.
