The Energy Trading Middle Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily trading activities, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and market regulations. This role acts as a bridge between front-office trading teams and back-office operations, ensuring that trade processes are accurately captured, monitored, and reported. The Middle Office Manager will work closely with trading, finance, and risk management teams to enhance operational efficiency, optimize risk management, and support strategic trading decisions.
Supervise daily trade capture, validation, and reconciliation processes.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of trades in the trading systems.
Review and validate trade confirmations and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor trading positions, exposures, and Profit & Loss (P&L) to ensure they are in line with established risk limits.
Identify and report trading and operational risks to senior management.
Assist in the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and tools.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly trading reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Conduct analysis on trading positions, performance, and market trends.
Support front-office teams by providing accurate trade data and insights.
Ensure that all trading activities are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
Implement and maintain internal controls to reduce operational and trading risks.
Collaborate with compliance teams to support regulatory reporting and audits.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Leverage technology and automation to streamline middle office functions.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key middle office processes.
Manage and mentor the middle office team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to perform their duties.
Provide training and guidance on new systems, regulations, and trading practices.
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
Serve as the primary point of contact for front-office, back-office, compliance, and IT teams regarding trade execution and risk management.
Facilitate communication between trading desks and support teams to resolve trade-related issues.
Support strategic initiatives and projects to enhance trading operations and risk management.
Proficiency in trading systems, risk management tools, and advanced MS Excel. Experience with trading and risk platforms (e.g., Eikon, Bloomberg) is an advantage.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role (this point to be available for all roles that have SAP access).
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
