Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of offshore assets. This role requires extensive experience in offshore environments, with a strong focus on FLNG/FPSO operations, following safety and quality standards.
TASKS:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including power distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, motors, and control panels. Conduct condition monitoring, identifying potential issues in electrical systems to prevent equipment failure and downtime. Ensure all preventive maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, safety standards, and project protocols. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in systems such as lighting, power generation, distribution networks, and control systems. Carry out emergency repairs and modifications to electrical equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to offshore operations. Test, calibrate, and adjust electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, relays, meters, and safety devices, to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. Ensure all electrical maintenance activities adhere to offshore safety regulations and company-specific HSE requirements. Prepare electrical maintenance reports, highlighting key issues, solutions, and any recommendations for system improvements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electricity, or a related technical field. Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in the naval sector, with a focus on FLNG or FPSO projects. Strong background in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including power generation, distribution, and control systems. Fluent level of English, written and spoken.
