BIM Modeling: Create, update, and maintain accurate 3D models for electrical systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, data systems, etc.) using Revit MEP.
Model Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the electrical systems are well-coordinated with mechanical, structural, and other building systems.
Clash Detection: Use clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks) to identify and resolve conflicts between electrical systems and other disciplines to avoid delays during construction.
Technical Documentation: Generate 2D drawings, schematics, and layouts from BIM models, ensuring they comply with project specifications and local standards.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all electrical models adhere to design standards, client requirements, and relevant industry codes and guidelines.
Revit Family Creation: Develop custom Revit families for electrical components to improve model accuracy and facilitate coordination across teams.
Collaboration: Participate in regular coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams to review models, track progress, and address potential issues.
Revisions & Updates: Update the BIM model as needed based on design changes or project updates, ensuring all team members are working with the latest version.
Project Support: Assist the electrical engineering team by providing technical support and helping with model-related tasks during all project phases.
Documentation Management: Maintain organized project files, manage model versions, and ensure that all project documentation is up to date and accessible.
