Description
As Corporate Planning Manager, you will be working within the Corporate Planning team, responsible for developing medium and long-term strategic initiatives, working on day-to-day functions, projects and ad-hoc tasks across the division. You will be managing analysis and data gathering requests, both internally within CP and between departments. Within a complex data environment, tasks will involve ensuring teams perform sound analytic processing and comprehensive market research to support informed decision-making within CP. Through your team member’s support (or independently), formulate and deliver recommendations to CP, and for management and the rest of the business (jointly). The role will steer decision making and represent CP on departmental cross-functional initiatives.
This role falls under Corporate Strategy:
·Be part of a team that delivers material on core Corporate Planning-related activities which support various strategic projects, both internally and externally, on an ad-hoc basis.
·Manage the preparation of long-term strategic plans and the evaluation of key strategic decisions predominantly in respect to hub, network and fleet:
oDevise robust and adaptable data models to provide factually based strategic guidance
oPreparation and evaluation of long-term network and fleet plans
oEvaluation of investment proposals including new routes or third-party carriers
oAssessing demand and evaluating the profitability of such initiatives
oEvaluation of measures to enhance profitability
·Keep abreast with key industry developments including monitoring of trends to forecast opportunities and challenges for QR.
·Respond to Aeropolitical & Corporate Affairs department queries pertaining to QR current and future operation as well as other industry data requests.
·Contribute to the preparation of Fleet and Strategy management presentations.
Be a comfortable mentor for junior team members and be able to provide guidance, as required.
Qualifications
About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Corporate Strategy Team.
·Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
·7+ years of job-related experience
·Comprehensive understanding of commercial aviation economics, strategic planning and business management. Experience working in an Airline Network Planning environment desirable.
·Able to cope under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
·Ability to manage and scrutinize detailed data analysis.
·Ability to produce and deliver impactful management level presentations
·Ability to interpret and evaluate market research and/or reports
·Able to engage, influence and manage peers at all levels across the business both to technical and non-technical audiences
