About the role


As the Company Doctor – Lifestyle Medicine, you will be responsible to promote and facilitate the health and wellbeing of QR staff through educational workshops, and health campaigns utilizing the principles of lifestyle medicine to support a healthy lifestyle across QR Group. Also, responsible to effectively manage a clinical caseload by providing one-to-one and group consultations.


Key responsibilities


  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and use clinical reasoning to provide the required therapeutic interventions and advice.
  • Arrange appropriate investigative and/or diagnostic tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment in line with best clinical practice.
  • Be responsible for appropriate prescribing, with accurate and up to date knowledge of medications, dosages, drug interactions and side effects.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of comprehensive, innovative and customized lifestyle medicine programs tailored to address the unique needs of QR staff and based on the principles of lifestyle medicine.
  • Educate and empower employees to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviors through workshops, training and group consultations.
  • Provide assistance to the Primary healthcare team in managing acute, chronic and complex conditions where required.
  • Use evidence-based practice, quality improvement methods and research to inform, measure and evaluate own practice.
  • Work effectively as part of the Lifestyle Medicine & Human Performance team through regular participation and active contribution in team meetings and program updates.
  • Engage with the multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient care through regular case discussion, progress updates and referral as required.
  • Record and maintain accurate, adequate and relevant patient records using the established practice protocols and computerized medical records system.
  • Comply with all regulatory training and continuous professional requirements to maintain a medical license within the State of Qatar.
  • Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

About you


  • MBBS, MBChB, MD or similar from an internationally recognized University
  • Minimum 8 years of job-related experience in the provision of Family Medicine, Occupational or Lifestyle Medicine
  • Membership or equivalent from a recognized specialist college or board, for e.g. Royal College of General
  • Practitioners of Board of Family Medicine
  • Able to meet the criteria to obtain a medical license with the Department of Healthcare Professions, Ministry of Health, State of Qatar
  • Strong command of the English language (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in delivering health workshops/training
  • Able to utilize IT/technology effectively, for e.g. Microsoft Office, online learning platforms, health information systems
  • Passion for health and wellness with a desire to empower others
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

Preferred


  • Experience in the Aviation, Corporate or Military sectors
  • Experience working within multi-national/multi-cultural teams or departments
