Civil Building/Finishing QC Inspectors

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The purpose of the job of Civil Building/Finishing QC Inspectors is to ensure that construction projects meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the building and finishing phases. Their primary goals include: Quality Assurance: Inspectors verify that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. They ensure that materials used meet quality standards and are installed correctly. Compliance Monitoring: They monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project quality plans and procedures. This includes conducting regular inspections at various stages of construction to identify and address non-conformities promptly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct inspections of civil building and finishing works including but not limited to structural, architectural, MEP finishes, and related activities.
• Verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and standards.
• Perform inspections at various stages of construction, such as foundation, concrete pouring, blockwork, plastering, tiling, painting, and MEP installations.
  
• Document inspection results, prepare non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor and report on contractor's compliance with approved quality plans and procedures.
  
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Conduct final inspections and prepare handover documentation for completed works.
• Maintain inspection records, reports, and relevant documentation in an organized manner.
• Provide guidance and support to subcontractors and site personnel on quality-related matters.
• Participate in project meetings, review designs, and offer technical advice as needed.

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  
• Minimum 5 yrs. experience in civil building and finishing quality control.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
• Familiarity with Qatar construction regulations and codes (QCDD, QCS, etc.).
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inspection software/tools.
