Chiller Technician

Execution of comprehensive maintenance services for Chiller System and other plant auxiliaries as part of asset management process leading to optimization of cost and resources. Ensuring full compliance with safety, quality and statutory requirements within the framework of standard operating procedures and supporting key performance standards to ensure customer’s comfort and satisfaction.

General:

• Conduct general housekeeping in work areas to ensure and comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Communicate existing and potential issues with supervisor.
• Provide feedback to supervisor pertaining to issues, improvement ideas or any concern.

HSSEQ:

• To follow all QC Safety Rules as specified.
• To take full responsibility for the safety of yourself, co-workers, and on-site contractors, ensuring full compliance with all QC Safety rules.
• Proactively intervening and reporting of all observed unsafe behaviors and conditions.
• To undertake all PTW activities in full compliance with the specified requirements of the PTW, JSA’s and Method Statements.
• To undertake all Last-Minute Risk Assessments prior and during all work activities.
• Ensure that issued PTW are fully complied with and that no work is undertaken outside of PTW scope. Using the authority to stop work when PTW requirements are not fully complied with, or unsafe acts and conditions are either observed or reported to them by the working party.
• Ensuring that all requirements are fully achieved and checked prior to the handing back of the Asset / Equipment to Production & Distribution and the worksite is in a fully safe and operational ready condition.
• Comply with the QCFE requirements in applicable job areas / functions.
• Being always open and professional if ever challenged on your own behavior in relation to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality.

Maintenance:

• Carry out overhaul, preventive, corrective, predictive, breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot and diagnostic activities related to the following system:

1. Chillers
2. Process Area of FCU, AHU, Exhaust, and Ventilation System
3. Non-Process Area of FCU accessories
4. Filtration system
5. Piping system
6. Valves, Pumps, and gearboxes

• On case-to-case basis, to execute maintenance tasks such as (but not limited to) disassembly, assembly, observation, troubleshoots, repairs, tests, data collection of another static and rotating equipment or other devices according to written or verbal instruction from Supervisor in a professional and efficient manner, complying with the safety rules and regulations as needed.
• Supervise, guide and monitor work done by external vendors.
• Prepare and submit technical log reports, checklist or forms as part of daily routine work.
• Obtain spare parts, materials, and consumables either from internal store or external location.
• Utilize, maintain and safe keep specific tools assigned by company.
• Maintain proper tools, PPE’s, Spares and provide annual requirements.
• Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of business continuation and safety concerns.
• Understand and utilize the Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to the fullest.
• Where applicable, provide assistance and support to other team members, whenever required.
• Participate in QC provided training as deemed fit by management.
• Perform any other related duty as assigned by the immediate supervisor, in accordance with the provisions of the labor law.

Lean, Multi-Skilled & Shared Resources Program:

·        Actively participate, become team member, perform and execute tasks as per assignment under the Brilliant-at-Basic (BRIBAS) program. The BRIBAS would cover basic day-to-day tasks but has high impact to overall plant efficiency to be sustained. It also serves as a platform for multi-skilling and competency building.

These tasks include (but not limited to):

• Chiller tubes cleaning.
• Cooling tower basin cleaning.
• Cooling tower fills cleaning.
• Side stream filtration cleaning.
• ETS HEX cleaning.
• ETS strainers cleaning.
• Valve chambers servicing.
• Pipe strainers cleaning.
• Monsoon drain cleaning.
• Perimeter manholes cleaning.
