As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Doha-based Qatar Airways Cargo Operations team as a Cargo Training Manager.
As a Cargo Training Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training administration and programs. You will ensure that all employees are adequately trained on cargo handling procedures, safety regulations, and customer service standards. You will work closely with various departments to identify training needs and deliver effective training solutions.
Other operational duties will include:
Training Programs Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs for cargo operations staff, including new hire orientation, ongoing training, and specialized training modules
Conducting Training Sessions: Facilitate workshops to ensure staff are knowledgeable about cargo handling procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards
Training Effectiveness Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics. Make necessary adjustments to improve training outcomes
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in regulations and incorporate them into training materials
Training Materials: Create and update training materials, manuals, and guides. Utilize various training methods, including e-learning, hands-on training, and classroom instruction
Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and supervisors to identify training needs and develop customized training solutions. Collaborate with external training providers as needed
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training activities, employee progress, and certification statuses. Prepare reports on training outcomes and compliance
Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve training programs and stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements

QualificationsAbout You
We are looking for a professional with the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Education, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cargo Operations, with at least 2 years in a training or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of cargo handling procedures and safety regulations
Ability to design and implement effective training programs
Proficiency in using training software and e-learning platforms
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Relevant certifications in cargo handling or training (e.g., IATA certification) will be an advantage
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Note: This position may require occasional travel to various training locations
