Job Description:Buying Coordinator

This role will be responsible for assisting the Buying team and Head of Buying and will include some buying responsibility under their direction and supervision.


This individual must be skilled in all the buying disciplines relating to brand, product selection, and margin and OTB management although they may have worked in more junior buying roles until now.This role will require excellent written and verbal communication skills must be able to plan effectively, prioritize and work under pressure as the amount of brands and number of contacts will be significant.They must also possess good computer skills as this role will necessitate a fair degree of data entry (product attributes) and sales analysis. An appreciation of Premium/Luxury fashion is also essential though they may not necessarily have worked in fashion buying before now.• University graduate, preferably in a business related discipline.• Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative position preferably with some Retail Operations (shop floor working) experience.• Computer literate using Microsoft Office packages, i.e., Word, Excel, Power-point.• Some knowledge of Merchandise planning software an advantage.• Highly motivated and self-starter. Must be able to demonstrate they can step up to the next level over time.• Organized with high level of attention to detail.• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Can be an ambassador in all meetings and when communicating by phone or email.• Demonstrable customer relations management skills.
