You’ll be tasked with creating a modern, lightweight, and SEO-friendly block-based theme optimized for speed and performance. This is a freelance opportunity that requires translating Figma designs into fully functional WordPress themes while ensuring top-tier performance and customization capabilities.If you are passionate about WordPress theme development, Full Site Editing (FSE), and Gutenberg block development, this is the opportunity for you!Key Responsibilities: Figma Design: Convert Figma designs into a custom block-based WordPress theme. Full Site Editing (FSE) Implementation: Implement FSE features, enabling users to customize templates, headers, footers, and other theme areas easily. Custom Blocks: Create or enhance custom blocks using React.js and the Gutenberg editor. WordPress Standards: Ensure the theme adheres to WordPress coding standards and supports the latest WordPress versions. Performance Optimization: Optimize the theme for core web vitals, achieving excellent performance on tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix. Responsiveness: Deliver a fully responsive and cross-browser-compatible theme. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve any development issues promptly. What Makes You a Perfect Candidate: Block Theme: Deliver a fully functional and customizable WordPress block theme. Core Web Vitals: Ensure the theme achieves at least 90+ scores on both mobile and desktop in Google PageSpeed Insights. SEO Structure: Implement an SEO-friendly structure, including schema markup and proper heading hierarchies. Documentation: Provide complete documentation for theme setup and customization. Required Skills & Qualifications: WordPress Experience: Proven experience in developing WordPress block-based themes with Full Site Editing (FSE). Front-End Skills: Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and PHP. Gutenberg Proficiency: Proficiency in Gutenberg block development and React.js. Performance Optimization: Expertise in optimizing themes for SEO and page speed performance. WordPress API: Familiarity with WordPress REST API and core functions. Debugging: Ability to debug and troubleshoot efficiently. Accessibility: Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
