General Summary:

Be part of the team developing world-class hardware for ASIC platforms optimized for next generation mobile, compute, and XR devices. Candidate will design platforms that include ultra-high performance codecs, sensor technologies, system-on-chip wireless devices, and other connected devices. Candidate will be involved in board-level and system-level hardware development from conceptual design through end-customer delivery and support. Candidate will be expected to work cross-site and cross-organization to meet the project deliverables.
· Board-level digital, power, analog design, analysis and test. Design and simulate state of the art high performance PWB/PCBs and FPCs. Must be able to quickly assimilate and refine existing hardware designs, apply integration and problem solving skills in the lab, work closely with software and ASIC design engineers.
· Research and develop innovative systems with the latest SoC chipsets, RF ICs, and biological sensor ICs for smart phone, compute, and XR devices.
· Design, analyze, integrate, verify and maintain hardware and circuit card assemblies.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.
·Candidate must have 5 years experience in consumer electronics, audio, or mixed-signal design.
· Solid understanding of electrical engineering and circuit fundamentals
· Strong knowledge of both digital and analog design
· Baseband hardware and circuit card design experience, including digital and analog, schematic and layout of PWB and flexible printed circuit boards
· Outstanding communications skills, oral and written
· Must have strong lab skills and be well organized
Additional Skills:
· Knowledge of timing analysis, transmission line fundamentals, cross talk, efficient low-power supply design, decoupling, and layout of high performance digital and analog circuits
· FPGA and CPLD design experience
· Familiarity with DSPs, microprocessors, digital communication interfaces (I2C, SPI), audio bus formats (e.g. I2S, PDM, SoundWire), memories, voltage regulators, biological sensors, and other consumer electronics hardware
· Familiarity with design/analysis tools, such as ADS, LTSpice, Mentor Graphics Xpedition or equivalents
· Embedded programming skills
· Project leadership
· Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
