What is Specialist Project Management?

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a proven track record in delivering complex technology projects within the fintech or banking industry. As a mid-senior level TPM, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of multiple technical projects, from concept to delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, QA, and business stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and excellent communication skills to navigate the dynamic and fast-paced fintech space.

This is an individual contributor role that reports directly to the “Manager PMO” in JazzCash

What does Specialist Project Management do?

• · Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of medium to large-scale technical projects, ensuring they meet timelines and business objectives.
• · Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to delivery
• · Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including business/products team, technical teams, vendors, and external partners.
• · Regularly update senior leadership on project status, risks, and milestones.
• · Proactively identify and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• · Drive the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) within the project teams.
• · Ensure teams are aligned with Agile principles, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog management.
• · Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and techniques to increase efficiency, quality, and team collaboration.
• · Understand complex fintech systems, such as payment processing, core banking platforms, digital wallets, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in the fintech, banking, or financial services industry.
• · Experience managing end-to-end technical projects with a focus on software development, infrastructure, and/or cloud solutions.
• · PMP (Project Management Professional), Agile, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
• · Experience with other methodologies like Waterfall or Hybrid project management.
• · Strong understanding of modern technologies used in fintech.
• · Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, manage conflict, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• · Familiarity with digital banking services, payment platforms, lending, or financial data integration.
• · Solid experience working in Agile environments, familiar with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
