What is a Specialist Strategic Initiatives?
The Specialist Strategic Initiatives would be primarily concerned with conducting in-depth research and developing of strategic plans aimed at defining JazzCash’s role in advancing the digitalization of the Pakistani economy. This includes the conceptualization and strategy development for various fintech offerings, assessment of regulations and laws; and exploring and evaluating strategic direction on new business avenues.
What does Specialist Strategic Initiatives do?
Research on Digitalization of the Pakistani Economy
- To provide a comprehensive analysis of the current state and future potential of digitalization in Pakistan.
- Conduct a literature review and gather data on digitalization trends within Pakistan and globally.
- Analyze current digital infrastructure, including internet penetration, mobile phone usage, and digital literacy rates and prevalent market acceptance.
- Assess regulatory frameworks and policies impacting digital transformation in Pakistan.
- Prepare a detailed report summarizing findings and offering recommendations for accelerating digitalization.
Research and Strategy for Fintech Offerings
- Conduct market research to identify gaps and opportunities in the fintech sector.
- Develop a strategic framework for launching new fintech products including Islamic offerings.
- Explore the feasibility of launching investment products like mutual funds and offerings such asset fractionalization.
- Evaluate and develop a roadmap for RAAST based product and service offerings and JazzCash’s placement within the RAAST ecosystem; including as part of RAAST’s global plans.
- Develop detailed business plans and go-to-market strategy on these proposed solutions.
- Exploration of Business Avenues in review of Futuristic Market Dynamics
- Research global trends and case studies on the issuance of CBDCs by central banks.
- Analyze the potential impact of CBDCs on Pakistan’s financial system particularly branchless entities.
- Develop strategic recommendations for the JazzCash on feasibility and participation in a CBDC marketspace.

Requirements
- Preferably 1+ year(s) of working in a digital / technology company with particular experience product management, analytical work and research. Fresh Graduates are nevertheless encouraged to apply.
- Understanding of banking, financial services and payments space is required.
- Ability to gather insights, conduct market research, and perform competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- You will have to demonstrate an analytical mind and an ability to work with technical details in a paced environment.
