The Role: Operations Specialist, Communications (Temporary Worker)
What's In It For You?: Reporting into Director- Corporate Communications, South Asia, this role will lead Pakistan’s Communications efforts focusing and supporting on internal and external communications strategy for the region. You will help the South Asia Communications team and senior stakeholders in Pakistan create, execute, and manage communication strategies, manage local engagement, prepare presentations, all while highlighting our culture, and enhancing the overall understanding of S&P Global Pakistan.
The Team: You will be part of a team where you will flex and provide support where needed. While you will report into the S&P Global Communications team, you will be responsible for day-to-day stakeholder support for senior stakeholders in Pakistan. You will be equally a strategist and tactician with hyper-vigilant attention to detail and have the ability to manage and execute complex communications plans with little direction. We are seeking an excellent writer and storyteller who can operate in a fast-paced environment to develop effective, executive-ready content and act as a trusted communication partner.
Responsibilities and Impact:
·Help execute internal and external communications that align with S&P Global Pakistan’s messaging and tone, including business and cultural priorities, and ensure they are consistent with the enterprise.
·You will be the sole Communications person based out of Pakistan executing on communications plans for key initiatives and major milestones.
·You will be the SPOC working closely with the external PR agency to drive visibility for the brand, showcasing our culture in a way that are aligned with the Pakistan Leadership’s vision and purpose.
·Plan and prepare effective, thoughtful, and engaging communications that educate, inform, connect, and inspire employees.
·You will help in the execution and measurement of Communication campaigns for corporate initiatives and key events in Pakistan. You will help provide relevant recommendations to amplify the campaign.
·Having excellent writing skills is critical for this role. You will draft newsletters, press releases, social media posts for initiatives in the region.
·Ability to engage with the media directly and build strong media relations.
·Being able to operate tools such as Contact Monkey, Smartsheet, Canva, and Vidyard will be an added advantage.
·Partner with fellow colleagues, team members and senior stakeholders to develop communications plans, coordinate town halls, fireside chats, roundtables, and other internal events, and formulate FAQs, key messages, press releases, briefing documents, social media posts and other internal and external resources.
·Develop and edit Power Point decks for local leadership.
·Manage local office communications including written and digital mediums.
·Work with a global mindset that is educated and sensitive to geographic and cultural differences.
·Be a proactive team player
·Be agile, collaborative, transparent, and assume positive intent across the team and internal stakeholders. Be an excellent partner to the PR agency to deliver strong results.
Functional & Business Knowledge:
·Understanding the local environment and a willingness to learn and understand the S&P Global Pakistan business.
·Must have excellent written and oral communication, editing, and presentation skills.
·Must have strong Power Point and graphic development skills.
·Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with colleagues across all levels of the organization.
·Ability to balance competing priorities, and on tight deadlines. Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced and changing environments.
·Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Qualifications:
·Having a Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Communications, Journalism, marketing, or related fields is preferred.
·1-3 years experience working in a corporate environment or Corporate Communications department.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
·Demonstrated experience with using analytics to measure the effectiveness of communications strategies and campaigns.
·Highly proficient in digital literacy
