Job Role / Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- focusing on raising the image of nursing through effective communication strategies using relevant media channels
- managing social media channels and the School website
- content writing, press releases, and report writing for relevant stakeholders
- actively promoting nursing programmes, nationally and internationally
- collaborating with the Marketing and Communications departments at AKU
- working innovatively with the creative team
- keeping abreast of international trends in nursing marketing and image-building
- developing and implementing a plan of recruitment and marketing with schools across Pakistan
- actively liaising with other nursing schools to bring about strategic partnerships and collaborations
- working closely with Nursing Services and other partners to understand internal customer needs and ensure that all organizational policies and practices are properly followed
- facilitating the faculty with all communications collateral
- liaising between the faculty and the media team for photo sessions/video shooting
- supervising the media team and managing tasks.
Requirements:
You should have:
- a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Master is preferable
- at least five to eight years of progressive and related experience
- know-how of digital marketing tools and best practices in managing communications campaigns on social media channels and in other media
- excellent writing and editing skills, with an emphasis on developing from simple copy for digital channels to complex articles for media and journal publications
- familiarity with the use of content management systems
- ability to effectively operate, and manage resources in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- proficiency in MS Office packages, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Google Analytics, X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- strong leadership skills, self-management, proactivity, and the ability to work independently
- high level of energy and flexibility
- relationship building with demonstrated interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- analytical and conceptual skills essential for effective strategic thinking.
