The Programme aims to build the capacity of professionals, parents and communities who have the responsibility of providing a strong foundation and learning opportunities for ensuring a good start in life to every child.As an equal opportunity employer, AKU believes in promoting a diverse and inclusive culture and is committed to adopt appropriate standards for safeguarding and promoting a respectful relationship with and between diverse workforce of its faculty, staff, trainees, volunteers, beneficiaries, wider communities, and other stakeholders with whom it works, including children and vulnerable adults and expects all employees/trainees and partners to share this commitment.This is a grant-funded contractual position.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:develop / adapt a package of gender sensitive ECD, health and education training to be used for training project beneficiariesorganize implementation of project activities as per the project protocols, SOPs, expectations and timelinesorganize and rollout holistic, gender responsive inclusive child development trainings for project beneficiariesdevelop and roll out effective project monitoring and field activitiesplan and supervise work plan regarding field activitiesprovide on job coaching and supportive supervision of the project staffplan and organize Focus Group Discussions and In Depth Interviews with various stakeholderssupervise collected data on regular basis, ensuring complete and correct data collectionsupervise data collection and intervention activities happening in the field and support project staff for any day-to-day problems faced in the fieldconsolidate, maintain data records and backup of collected datamaintaining attendance records of team membersmonthly reporting of project activities to PI. RequirementsYou should have:a masters in Education / Social Sciences / Psychology with Diploma in ECD from a reputable institutionat least five years of experience of working in ECD / Education and research and development projectsexperience in organizing and rolling out trainings in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitralexperience in developing training material on ECDstrong communication skills in English (oral and written), excellent interpersonal, organizational, coordination and report writing skillsefficient work planning with timeliness, quality assurance, mentoring and monitoring skillsexcellent problem solving skills, ability to anticipate problems and devise effective solutions with strong decision-making capabilitiesbackground and experience of conducting qualitative research studies in community settingknowledge and experience of data collection, data analysis and writing up resultsbuilding and maintaining effective collaborations with project stakeholdersproficiency in MS Officeability and willingness to travel extensively to Gilgit Baltistan and Chitralproficiency in local languages is desired.Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.Disclaimer:The Aga Khan University is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment which is free from discrimination and harassment.
