Our Client provides a Next-Gen valuable farming technology that enables farmers to increase food production in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
It is an AI-powered platform that provides technology for crop monitoring. It provides solutions for risk assessment platforms, yield valuation, and farm performance. It makes use of drones to photograph crops from above at various points in time. Real-time crop health, soil moisture, and pest count monitoring is made possible by its technology.
About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who is an expert in manual testing with strong experience in writing comprehensive test cases, test plans, and executing various types of testing. While this role primarily focuses on manual testing, basic exposure to automation is required. The ideal candidate will ensure software quality by identifying defects, improving testing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Case Design & Execution: Write detailed, well-structured test cases and test plans based on functional and business requirements.
• Manual Testing: Conduct functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure software quality.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Requirement Analysis: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements.
• API Testing: Perform manual API testing using tools like Postman.
• Basic Automation Exposure: Execute and maintain basic automated test cases, if required, using tools like Selenium or Cypress.
• Test Data & Environment Management: Set up and manage test data and environments for various testing scenarios.
• Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous testing improvements.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and clear testing documentation, including test reports and defect logs.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in software testing with expertise in manual testing.
• Strong ability to write detailed test cases, test plans, and test reports.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman.
• Exposure to basic test automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or any similar tool) is a plus.
• Good understanding of databases and writing basic SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Location: DHA Phase 5, Lahore.
