The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-Facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. The department has 120 full-time and part-time faculty with a strong commitment towards teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency and fellowship programmes are integrated into the academic functions of the department.
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Instructor (Dental Surgery) in the Department of Surgery.
Responsibilities:
You will have an independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate (ASDH) and postgraduate (residency program) teaching, research, and specified administrative activities. In addition, you should have demonstrated scholarship through research, publications and contribution to education.
Requirements:
You should have completed postgraduate training in Clinical Periodontology/ Periodontics from an accredited institution and possess an exit level qualification such as FCPS, FFDRCSI, FRCD, FRACDS, specialty FDSRCS, Diplomate American Board or equivalent with subsequent clinical, teaching and research experience. For Senior Instructor, you should have at least two years’ post terminal qualification experience in a reputable institution.
Applicants for Assistant Professor should have at least two years’ experience as a Senior Instructor or equivalent. In addition, they should have demonstrated scholarship through research, publications, and/or contribution to education.
