About Pavago:
Pavago is seeking a Senior HR and Payroll Specialist to join our client's team. This role will be pivotal in managing the onboarding and offboarding processes, payroll changes, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in HR and payroll management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and Off-boarding: Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring compliance with SOPs and documentation requirements. Facilitate a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
- Payroll Management: Oversee all aspects of payroll, including running payroll cycles, processing bonuses, raises, and other payroll changes. Ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursement in accordance with local regulations.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee relations matters, providing conflict resolution support and maintaining documentation of employee interactions and issues.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to local labor laws and regulations related to HR and payroll practices. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation as required by law and organizational policies.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that support a positive work environment and align with organizational goals.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge in HR practices and payroll processes.
What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
On a typical day as a Senior HR and Payroll Specialist, you will begin by reviewing and addressing any urgent employee relations matters that have arisen. You'll check in on payroll deadlines, ensuring that all changes, such as bonuses and raises, are processed accurately. Throughout the day, you will conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, guiding them through the necessary paperwork and procedures. You'll also meet with managers to discuss any employee issues or needs for additional training. Regularly, you’ll update employee records, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and maintain documentation related to HR activities. Your day may include collaborating with other HR team members to develop policies and improve existing processes, ensuring that HR practices align with company goals.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in HR and payroll management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address employee relations issues with sensitivity and confidentiality while implementing effective solutions.
