Job Role / Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for controlling any operational emergencies and ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of complex activities related to Air-conditioning, Mechanical. Electrical, Medical gases, and Utility Services round the clock. Lead maintenance and operation of AKU entire Facility during shift operation. Ensure to provide a safe environment and uninterrupted services to retain and provide high-quality operation and maintenance service. conduct visits to the facility and identify prevailing risks and take prompt actions to reduce risks. Responsible for coordinating with various department heads to provide smooth services to ensure safety for users, patients, and staff. Conduct routine inspections of the facility and take proactive action to ensure a safe and risk-free environment.


Specifically, you will be responsible to:


  • Monitor and maintain all mechanical systems, including HVAC, for optimum performance.
  • Assist in planning and implementing improvements and modifications to systems and facilities
  • Supervise activities of contractors, vendor personnel; monitors contracts for compliance and control costs; perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to performance standards.
  • Supervises a team of craftsmen, which includes distribution of workload, training for productive results, recommendations for hiring, firing, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in the annual budget planning process and monitor expenditure on a regular basis.
  • Achievement of Targeted Key Performance Indicators of the department quarterly as well as yearly wise.
  • Review the Computerized Management System (CMMS) and respond to users timely.
  • Inspection of all critical assets and services and prompt rectification in case of any abnormality and taking corrective action in case of any deviation
  • Taking key decisions in critical situations to handle emergencies.
  • Monitor /assess the quality of work and services being delivered by the contractor.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
  • B.E Mechanical/Industrial/Marine. 
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience including 3 to 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues efficiently, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead teams in large-scale environments, with strong skills in public speaking, report writing, and staff training.
  • Mechanical Systems Expertise: Extensive hands-on knowledge of Boilers, Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Air Compressors, and Building Management Systems (BMS), including control systems and optimization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ASHRAE, NFPA, HTM, and SHTM codes.
  • Familiar with industry mechanical standards and best practices.
  • Operational Oversight: Experience managing engineering services, including plant operations, equipment maintenance, and ensuring system reliability in hospital or hotel settings.
  • Independent & Team-Oriented: Capable of working autonomously while fostering strong teamwork and collaboration.
  • Quality Assurance: Skilled in implementing quality assurance systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and continuous improvement.
  • Supervisory Experience: Strong managerial background with the ability to guide, mentor, and develop teams, ensuring staff competence and high-performance levels.
